A Chinese couple have every reason to be thankful after a
shipping container fell and completely flattened their car in the
city of Quingdao in Eastern China’s Shandong province.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they were sure the
occupants of the car weren’t going to come out alive. It took the
calls for help from the female occupant to alert them that the
occupants were still alive.
A 100 tonne crane was quickly deployed to lift the container off the
car wreckage, thankfully the occupants were pulled out alive with
the woman suffering minor cuts and bruises and later treated for
shock on reaching the hospital. The male occupant was in a more
serious condition after being pulled out but is expected to make
full recovery according to Daily Mail.
