Atleast, 27 people, including a French Diplomat and six (6) Chinese nationals have been confirmed dead from the terror attack that occured at the Radisson Blu hotel, a 5-star hotel situated in Bamako, the capital city of Mali yesterday morning. For several hours, the militants held over 170 people hostage inside the hotel after having arrived with a diplomatic plate number, several grenades and AK-47 guns.

They started releasing the hostages once they could recite a verse in the Holy Koran. Although, three of the extremists were killed, the Al-Qaeda affliated group - al-Mourabitoun, based in the Sahara of Northern Mali claimed responsibility for the attack. The death toll in the attack currently stands at 27, with 12 bodies found in the basement and another 15 on the second floor.
